Acleara is approved by the FDA to treat a wide range of acne in all skin types for both teens and adults. By purifying pores and attacking acne causing bacteria at the source, patients see increasing improvement in the appearance of acne.

Acleara® acne treatments can be utilized as an alternative to Accutane, however are often combined with topical and/or oral antibiotics for maximum benefit.

How It Works

Acleara® acne treatments combine vacuum suction with a broadband light source to deliver effective acne treatment to face, chest and back.  The vacuum loosens and extracts debris, blackheads and excess oil from deep within your pores while the light source helps destroy acne causing bacteria as well as reduce inflammation and redness. You may immediately notice that your skin is drier, less oily, and feels fresher. Acne outbreaks usually will begin to clear up over the next several days.

What To Expect

How It Feels

The Acleara® treatment combines gentle suction and warm pulsations of light with patients feeling little to no discomfort during the treatment.

Treatment Time

Depending on the size of the treatment area, Acleara® treatments take 20 to 60 minutes after 10 to 15 minutes of gentle steaming.

Mild redness and inflammation will subside quickly and patients may resume your regular daily activities right away.

Depending on individual conditions, multiple treatments may be required for best results.  Typically, a series of 4 to 6 Acleara® treatments are initially recommended to control active acne.  Milder cases may require fewer sessions.
