New beginnings radiation mark removal program

New Beginnings is a national philanthropic campaign coordinated by the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery, Inc. (ASLMS), offering free radiation mark removal for cancer patients.

A radiation tattoo is not a matter of choice, but a necessary measure to help save a person’s life,” said Dr. Jeffrey C. La France, Medical Director, in a local NBC News cast. “It can be a mark of survival for some cancer patients, but for others it’s a constant reminder of pain and suffering associated with their disease and treatments.”

LaFrance Medical Aesthetics is one of the only three practices in Connecticut to offer the New Beginnings program. Dr. Jeffrey La France is board certified and a Fellow in American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery.

How to participate

Patients who wish to take advantage of this very special offering must simply contact LaFrance Medical Aesthetics to schedule a consultation. Prior to treatment patients must provide an official letter from their oncologist or radiologist approving the removal of any radiation marks or tattoos.
