Utilizing a recommended course of treatments and optional ongoing maintenance, chemical peels will help minimize the appearance of surface lines, smooth out rough skin texture, aid in clearing acne and help in lightening hyperpigmentation. The addition of a deep pre-cleansing treatment or calming treatment for sensitive skin customizes the chemical peel experience.
During chemical peels, various diluted acid solutions are applied to the skin to break the connections between skin cells, removing them and revealing fresh skin beneath. Peels can be superficial to exfoliate the upper most layer of epidermis, or deeper to improve pigmentation and skin texture. We use a combination of the most innovative, results-oriented, scientifically advanced products.
One week prior to all peels, discontinue use of any retinoids, hydroquinone, and benzoyl peroxide products. Patients with hyperpigmentation disorders may be pretreated with hydroquinone 2-4 weeks prior to the peel to reduce epidermal melanin.
Superficial peel indicated for mild to moderate conditions of photo damaged skin, fine lines and wrinkles, pigmentary irregularities, including melasma, superficial scarring, and acne. Appropriate for all skin types. Peeling will generally last 2 to 3 days.

Gentle, alpha hydroxy acid chemical peel derived from sour milk. Helps to remove germs, dead cells and toxins from the skin. Can reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles improve acne or oily skin. Also appropriate for dry and sensitive skin because it restores PH and assists with moisture absorption. Lactic acid peels can be received during pregnancy with OB/GYN physician approval.
While some patients may feel a mild tingling sensation from the peeling solution, the treatment is virtually painless. All of our peels are designed to avoid any uncomfortable burning sensation. Cool compresses or a fan may be incorporated into the treatment to maximize comfort.
You may experience slight redness and some temporary flaking, or exfoliation of dry skin as the fresh layers of skin below are revealed. Depending on the peel, patients may return immediately to most regular activities after the treatment. However it is recommended that you limit your outdoor exposure particularly while your skin is healing.
